Who Is k4bb?

My name is Bob Beeman, and my call is k4bb. Notice the lower case in the call. This has caused some consternation among those of lesser ability, but I am steadfast in my proclivities.

The lower case thing started out as a logo for my web site, and I have extended it to other identifying ham radio media, like club name badge and hamfest hats.

My ham radio life started at a very early age in 1962 when, as a Novice, my call sign was KN4NZL. Since I passed the General Class exam three months after I passed the Novice test, I never made a Novice contact.

My favorite operating mode is CW. It's not that I am a heavy duty operator, I just enjoy the mode that has become an anachronism in the tech world. Long live CW!
